Altitude Church is a Christian church on the Isle of Wight based in Sandown, welcoming people from across the Island every Sunday.
Altitude Church is a family church in Sandown, Isle of Wight, with weekly provision for children and young people under 16, a place where people of all ages can feel that they belong. We are a modern, evangelical and charismatic church within the Assemblies of God (AoG) movement, led by Pastors Ben and Emma Carman, an accredited AoG minister. Planted five years ago, Altitude Church was founded as an expression of church on the Isle of Wight, for the Isle of Wight.
We meet every Sunday morning at The Bay Secondary School, The Fairway, Sandown, PO36 9JH, where Bible-centred preaching sits at the heart of our gatherings, alternating between book-by-book series and thematic teaching that speaks into everyday life. We believe church is family, sharing life, laughing and celebrating, and standing alongside one another through difficult seasons too.
We're passionate about being a genuine blessing to our community on the Isle of Wight, partnering with local schools in Sandown to provide food bags and practical family support, and hosting free family fun days throughout the year. Our Sunday services are inclusive and welcoming for families with additional needs, with sensory aids such as ear defenders and chew toys available on request.
Church life extends beyond Sundays through a strong midweek programme, including Refresh for our senior members, Soul Food Bible study, and Collectives, helping people across Sandown and the wider Isle of Wight grow in faith and build lasting friendships. We're also part of the Wight Church Network, working alongside other churches across the Island.
At heart, we're a church in Sandown that loves Jesus, loves His Word, loves people and loves the Island, where families can flourish, faith can deepen, and everyone can find a place to belong.

Our Sunday service lasts around 90 minutes and includes uplifting contemporary worship, prayer, and a clear, encouraging Bible message that connects faith to everyday life.
Parking is available onsite, and our welcome team will be ready to greet you and help you feel at home from the moment you arrive.
